Chapter One
They smile in their world, they laugh in their world, they frown in their world and they play in their world.
Annalisa knew that she wanted to see them, but at times it seemed like they didn’t want to see her. She asked if anyone was out there, when she went deep into the woods. She saw a lion, body and all…But no blood. She was almost sure it was them.
They were everywhere, in her school, near the playground, in the woods, on the streets, but she never knew what they were. She knew they drank blood, and especially these girls, and this one guy, they were beautiful.
Madeline and Saralen were the first two, and the last one was Maxye. He was beautiful just like the girls, but in a guy sort of way.
